Nebraska Cornhusker Undies

My In-Laws route for the Nebraska Cornhuskers,
and it seems that the girls have almost every type of clothing possible that can be tagged with the Husker Logo.....  that is they do now
...
I made them Lucky Undies for game days
I think they like them
I only got one comment about them being "granny pannies"
(from a mean boy)
but hey, you try buying undies for other people,
its weird,
and a little unnerving
And I don't think I could have gotten everything on little stingy things
NEWayz, I made a special pair for Ashely,
I love the bobcat on the front
and the Texas State on the back is pretty sweet!

I hope they fit, and they get plenty of use out of them

Holiday Gifts

Ah, another year has gone by, and gift giving season is here again.
Of course I know of two munchkins who love this time of year!
Ike and Jo are about to open their new light up skechers.
They begged me for them!
Nana delievered!
Mom asked me to recreate a Subway sign they were selling at ZGallerie
It has different words in it to make it personal
I had fun making it, differen't from the last couple
This is the gift I gave to Isaac's teacher, it is a TeaWreath
Adorable Idea, Cheap Idea, and Not My Idea,
but nevertheless, I get credit for making it.
It smells so yummy.

Kid Divided Freezer Paper Shirts and Twins

A Couple weekends ago was the A&M Vs. Nebraska Football Game
Now this time of the year gets a little completive around our house
(between Me (Aggie) and Glen (Cornhusker))
especally when it comes to dressing our children for the game
This year I decided to make shirts
They are Kid Divided shirts!
I know you have seen the House Divided stickers on cars for A&M and TU
I especally like the back
Ike and Jo's are the same except Jo's has cordinating bows on the sleeves
And please forgive me, I have to brag about the cutest babies around,
MY NEPHEWS!
Here is Porter P!
He is wearing his Cuero Gobblers shirt
I forced a hat on his head
For some reason I don't have any pictures of Eli by himeself
I think it is because I am so excited to spend time with them that I don't want to be behind a camera
Josie and I have been driving back and forth all over Texas the see them
They are soooo cute, and quite a pair, I love being an Aunt... AuntTeague

Long Overdue Changes!

So here is the last picture of me with long hair.
I've decided to cut if off for many reasons...
Mostly just to get it off my head!!!
I cut it off to send to Locks Of Love

End to end, it is 14 1/2 inches

The ponytail is so thick, I could almost use it as a paintbrush
.
..
...
....
So where you ask is my new hairdo?
well you are going to have to see it!

I love it!
Saturday night Jo fell asleep in her travel chair...
so silly

Halloween and Texas A&M Subway Sign

My kiddos love Halloween, like they talk about it all year round,
so when Sunday finally came, they were very excited!
We bought a spooky cat to put in the yard

They helped dad with the pumpkin right before Trick-or-Treating
And finally put on their handmade costumes.
Jo is Minnie Mouse
Isaac is a Robot
They were very timid at the beginning of the night
But as you can tell, by the end of the night, they were working for that candy
Here is the Texas A&M Subway sign I made for my dad's 40th class reunion silent auction
He said it got 150 dollars
I also made a Texas A&M Tie onesie and Future Aggie Burper
Each went for 35 dollars

Ike's Monkey Costume

Isaac's Nursery Rhyme Play is coming up.
He is going to be a Monkey,
Because no Monkey costumes exist in his size
I made him one
I could not find brown sweats or thermal underwear,
I had the idea to dye them!
My first time, I was so nervous
I think they came out great!
I made the tail out of some brown ribbon, batting, and a wire
Then sewed it onto a ribbon belt that I fixed to the pants with buttons
(this was my first time to use anything having to do with buttons on my new sewing machine, I was stoked!)
I fixed a button to the shirt,
and made a headband with ears (made of felt)
I think it came out great for a beginner's costume
 He seems happy... for now
Made this Door Dangler for a neighbor's new baby,
I hope she likes it,

Onesie/Burper Sets

Ashely has been keeping me busy,
and putting my creative skills to the test.
She has, what seems like, a ton of preggo friends,
and she ordered her gifts thru me,
which, of course, I jumped at the chance to use my sewing machine
Here are the gifts!

Close ups are under the tabs on the top lefthand side.
See Ya!

Acorn Wreath

This weekend my munchkins and I went over to my mom and dad's for some much needed bonding time.  My dad put the kiddos to work in the garden,
 well sort of,
their job was to pick up as many acorns as they can,
(to keep the squirrels from planting them in my dad's garden)
So, what to do with all those acorns?
Errr, the only thing I came up with was to make a wreath
Wreaths forms are kinda pricey, so I bought a Styrofoam one, and...
Sliced it in two,
(hey, I know I"m cheap)
I had some scrap muslin,
and I covered the form.
With that done, I started popping the tops off all the acorns!
(it took a while)
I put a little dab of hot glue to the top, and placed it on the wreath
(pretty easy, though it took a little bit of time)
Finally done!
I found some old ribbon, and hot glued it to the back
Looks nice huh?
Its going to my mother...
cuz I love her....very much
Don't you think a square one would be great?
I wonder if I can find a form for that..maybe a frame.
